Bringing the T sedan home summer 2009
Body mounts in and 330 Olds fit test
Floor braces and body mounts... over 8" Ford rear end and paralell rear springs
1967 olds 330 might be the ticket?? 40 Ford juice suspension
Wedge chopped 7" up front and 5" in the back... strapping inside for strength
One of the nicest bodies I have found! Besides my 3 ex wives...
How's she look?? This is close to the stance she'll have done.
A and B pillers sliced on sides to make smooth look
Not quite done... but getting there
First of 2 '67 Camaro hoods sacrificed. This one will be welded, the front hood will be a removable hardtop. More pics as I go...
Put in a few more rear floor supports
Sheet metal going in...
Threw on the first coat of satin black
Cowl set in and painted... waiting on the wheel adapters for rear tires!!
Engine I decided on is a early 283 with 350 trans
Chevy 283 w/t350
Finally got the wheel adapters and got the rear tires rolling. Rear is set up to lower the car another 4 or 5" if desired.
For seat floor area, 'L' and 'C' channel steel used to structure the floor frame. Driveline tunnel mocked up.
Sheet metal formed for seat area. Round cut outs are for body mount bolt access.
Dreaded sectional roof next!!! Both pieces fitted and Model A visor put in place
Welded in and bed lined
Inside
Should have the removable front section done soon!
OK... front roof complete, cowl on, more floor installed
Looks pretty good... welded washers over roof wingnut holes for strength. Also add structure underneath to eliminate some flexing. Front edge tucks under '30 Model A visor for a tight, safe fit.
Under floor structure
Lots of room underneath for gas tank or fan
Added some 1951 Henry J Chrome on both sides of cowl!!
